Caroline has been appointed to the role of Event Manager for 2025 and is looking forward to this, with excitement.  She hopes her extensive and varied past knowledge and involvement with the ICCWS, the volunteer team, judges and past entrants, will help her in her new and challenging role as Event Manager. 

 

Caroline's involvement with the International Cool Climate Wine Show dates back to 2004, through her involvement with the Red Hill Agricultural & Horticultural Society and at the request of her Aunt, Liz Dart - Founder and then Chairman of the "Cool Climate Wine Show".  She joined the Committee of Management and soon took on roles in many of the sub-committees.  Before long, she found herself in the role of Treasurer, followed by the role of Secretary.  ​

 

Caroline was involved in the transition from the event being simply the Cool Climate Wine Show to moving to a more international focus and becoming known as the International Cool Climate Wine Show.  She has helped run the Awards Dinners and Public Tasting events when they were held in the "Sheep Shed" on the Red Hill Show Grounds, as well as running several of the Awards Dinners and Public Tasting events when they were held at the Mornington Racing Club.

 

Caroline was awarded Life Membership to the ICCWS Inc in June 2019.  However, in 2020, she resigned from the COM to pursue other things, but agreed to continued her involvement, by managing the website, and in 2023, agreed to take on the non-committee role of Social Media and Website Coordinator, as well as helping "on-site" during the 2024 show.  

 

Along with holding a Marketing Degree, and running her own businesses for over 20 years, Caroline brings a great deal of event management experience to the table.  She has managed more than twenty two-day conferences, countless one day events and training seminars and has been involved in helping to run all facets of 18 past International Cool Climate Wine Shows, as well as the Red Hill Agricultural and Horticultural Society's "Red Hill Show" during her more the 20-year involvement there, where she is also a Life Member.

Caroline is looking forward to this new challenge with the ICCWS Inc and can't wait to get started.
